Conversations that make a difference

Don't be deceived by this seemingly innocent word, "conversations". Here is where the real action begins.

You might, just as we do, consider the news about Donald Trump or a terrorist attack as no news at all. You might even perceive, the reporting of this kind as giving publicity, and hence also power, to those people's ideas. And hence being, subtly, in synergy with them... In that case you might be ready for some real news, and for some good news.

And if you are like us, at the university, and see the university as the institution and the place where good news can be crafted, and where real change can begin... Think, once again, about Galilei whispering eppur si muove into his beard. Think about the academics of his time discussing scholastic questions. "How many angels can dance on a needle point?" When in Federation through Images we talked about the mirror existing at every university, we may have made it look like an entrance into something – an academic underground, or underworld. You may now, rather, imagine it as an exit – from an overly narrow and confined academic space into a hugely freer and more creative one. As you might wish it to be.
